Navíc ten český kolaborant, co tam pracuje, jim to špatně přeložil.

My v Česku pojem "vítězka Miss" strašně přeceňujeme.

My totiž vidíme krásu jinak.

A vůbec, milé Mail Online. Nechcete si najít jiného překladatele? Raději jsme to udělali hned za vás.

The British website Mail Online does not understand anything: They say about eXtra that we did smudge the face of their Miss, since we do find her ugly!

We do like the Mail Online website, aka the internet edition of the Daily Mail. We really do. Apart from the fact that it's the most visited website in the United Kingdom, their choice of topics is superb, they're not afraid of hardcore tabloid, and overall, while the rest of the Europe is quite timid and careful when it comes to poking around in the private lives of celebrities and keeps its distance, the Brits go for it at full throttle and don't hold back.

Besides, people from the islands have a great sense of humor, they stay on top of things and do not take themselves all too seriously in general. They love poking fun not only at other nations, but at themselves as well, which we do like quite a lot, since that's something Czech people are not exactly great at.

All of this however did vanish in an instant as if Hermione just waved her magic wand. Once we had a go at their Miss Great Britain beauty pageant, the British smiles froze, they whipped out their national pride, got upset more than an empty stomach after a week of heavy binge drinking and slapped an outraged article at the Mail Online website about how we pixelated out the face of the Miss Great Britain winner Shelby Tribble (21) because she's too ugly for our taste!

We're seriously quite surprised that such experienced tabloid editors and journalists, working at Britain's most visited website, did not realize that the pixelated face was there to simply make our readers click on the full article. It's an old and tried trick that works every single time, but, apparently, it never made it to the islands...

Moreover, the Czech collaborator working there for them did pretty badly at translating the article. Nowhere in our article do we say anything about Shelby being ugly, just that we're not surprised that such an ordinary and not-really-all-that-interesting girl did win the whole contest, since she certainly was the most beautiful of the bunch. It is a sad truth that the rest of the girls were not worth a damn, objectively speaking, which you can check here in our presentation of the ten Miss Great Britain contestants that would never make it to the Miss Czech Republic finale.

Also, we do agree with the statement that beauty contests in the Czech Republic are at an entirely new level when compared to Miss Great Britain. But somebody should explain to Kay Winter, who wrote the angry article, that it was actually meant as a compliment to the British. Here in the Czech Republic, the title “beauty pageant winner” is far too overrated. The poor girl receives job offers that are often out of her league entirely, which does not happen in Britain, since, thanks to the stiff competition, you actually need some talent and skills there as well.

To mitigate the risks of Great Britain declaring war on us and forcing us to apply for a visa when traveling there, we'll try to make it up to them by publishing a gallery of 10 of the most beautiful British women. But according to our own definition of “the most beautiful” here in the office. That's because we do perceive the definition of beauty differently. It's not just about looks, it's also about being different, interesting, having that special something that gets your attention. That's something Shelby Tribble can't offer, no matter how big of a tantrum you throw. But the British women in this gallery most certainly can.

And, incidentally, dear Mail Online, how about getting yourself a better translator, while we're at it?
